Catalog Tabs!

With every new catalog I find that I want tabs on it to make it even easier to find what I'm looking for. So I made some and thought you might want some too!

I made them for all the categories in the catalog, but you can just punch and use the ones you want if you don't want them all.Just use the link below to download the PDF and print them on regular printer paper. After punching with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch, just fold them in half and put them on with SNAIL or Fast Fuse. Easy and done!

Greeting You Card Kit Refashions

Hey there! So I went to an event my upline put on and she used the Greeting You Card Kit
and the Gold Soiree Designer Series Paper for some of our projects. This kit used just as it was intended is adorable; I love the envelopes! And the DSP is beautiful with the gold on it. But check out what me made with it!

Isn't this bag adorable? We used the cards and tag from the kit, cutting it at the score marks and then layering them. The tag we stamped and punched a hole in it so we could tie it to the bag. I just love the DSP on the back ground. It's cut to the exact size of the front of the bag, and then the adhesive is applied to the very edges so the corners don't roll up. The Silicone Craft Sheet made it very easy to do that without making a mess all over the table.

The envelopes in use! But not as regular envelopes, they are a brag book! They are stapled together with a heavy duty stapler, it was too thick for a regular one.  Then we used the DSP on the pages and different cute stamps throughout. I love it and can't wait to put some pictures in it.

Isn't this one pretty? I love the gold accents and the thin strip of DSP. Sometimes less really is more.

How cute is this one?! I'm beginning to really like large sentiment stamps. All you need is a printed background, a solid color to stamp on, and you're done!

That sentiment cracks me up. What a great way to say someone is awesome and appreciated. And he sequin stamp is adorable! A little bit of metallic embossing powder and you would have sequins that won't go anywhere!

Ahh, Blackberry Bliss and gold, what a beautiful combination. The DSP made this card, in my opinion. That is one great thin about DSP, it is an easy, pretty background in seconds!

What I made with Blendabilities

So now that you have the low down on the fabulous, new Blendabilities, let me show you what I have made with them.
For this card I used Crisp Cantaloupe for the base, and Old Olive for the frame. To color the flowers on the Apothecary Art (WM)set I used the Skin Tone Assortment! They don't have to be just for skin! The leaves are with the Old Olive set, and centers with Daffodil Delight.

I just love this card! The Blended Bloom Stamp is great to use with the Blendabilities. It offers so many opportunities for shading. I used the Rich Razzleberry set and the Color Lifter to make the lightest shades. I like to start with the darkest shades to figure out where the shadows are, then work my way to the lightest colors. The sentiment is from the Work of Art (WM) set.

Ombre! Everyone loves ombre. With this one it is best to start with the lightest color first and work your way darker. That way you can see where you end a color and make sure you don't overlap where you don't want to. The dark streak in the middle is a result of overlapping in the wrong spot. And isn't that sentiment from Big News (WM) awesomeness?!

The Coastal Cabana set made these vases very easy to shade. And the Color Lifter was great to give them the reflecting point for the light. Always decide where your light "comes from" when shading, so you don't have conflicting shadows. The Vivid Vases stamp is a great one to use with the Blendabilities!

This stamp is gorgeous! Corner Garden (WM) is also super easy to work with. See all the beautiful shading on the flowers? Blendabilities make the shading so easy! I even used the Skin Tone set for the center of the yellow flower.

I colored the rhinestones on this one! Each set of markers comes with three shades, making it easy to have fading colors on embellishments. And isn't the Work of Art set cute?

Sweetbriar Rose is just perfect for shading! I used Daffodil Delight and Old Olive sets, and the Color Lifter, and just love the results. They look kind of like Primroses.....

Here are more rhinestones colored with the Blendabilities. One thing I noticed was that the colors coordinate with more than just the color listed. I used the darkest of the Rich Razzelberry and Daffodil Delight sets and they go beautifully with the Blackberry Bliss ink and ribbon and Crushed Curry card stock on this card. I put them on sequins for a little added bling.
.
For this one I colored the new cotton ribbon! How easy is that! Another ombre in seconds. And since they are alcohol based there is next to no dry time.

I used the Petite Petals (WM) set for these flowers. Stamps with shading already sketched in are great if you're not sure about your shading skills. Use the darker colors on the shading marks and the lightest on the rest, and you're done! Easy!

Another card class come and gone

Whew! What a great class! We had such a great time stamping these cards.

Every now and then something happens and you need a sympathy card.  We used the Thoughts & Prayers (Wood) set for a nice image and sentiment and the Deco Labels Framelits dies to cut them out.

See ya later, Alligator! This cute card is made with three shades of green, embossed with chevrons, for a nice ombre effect. Come back later for a tutorial on how I did it! The stamp set is one of the free gifts you can get with any $50 purchase made during Sale-A-Bration, which goes from Jan. 28th through March 31.

This card sure made me happy! Not only do I love gray and yellow (shocker, huh?), but the card uses part of the song we sang to our oldest when she was a baby. Paired with polka dot embossing and clouds made with the Cupcake punch, it doesn't get much cuter!

This pretty birthday card features banners, great colors and patterns, and a sweet message from the Another Great Year (Wood) set that just released in the Occasions catalog. I just love that Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Ribbon, don't you?

Be sure to check in next month for our latest card class projects! Class is Feb. 24 & 25 if you want to join us!

Happy Stamping!
